Dr. Dennis Shi is a hospitalist, or physician who specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Shi practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He joined the Division in 2026 and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. His interests include medical education, quality improvement and patient safety.

Dr. Shi earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center.
