Dr. Vinh Dao is a hospitalist, or physician who specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Dao practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He joined the Division in 2026 and currently serves as an Instructor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. His interests include medical education, research and point-of-care ultrasound. 

Dr. Dao earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health.
