Dr. Angelica Johnsen is a hospitalist, or physician who specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Johnsen practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She joined the Division in 2026 and currently serves as an Instructor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include point-of-care ultrasound, medical education and faculty development. 

Dr. Johnsen earned her medical degree from the UCLA/Drew Medical Education Program and completed her Family Medicine residency at the Institute for Family Health/Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is currently completing an Ultrasound fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
