Dr. Dhara Rana is a hospitalist, or physician who specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Rana practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She joined the Division in 2026 and currently serves as an Instructor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. Her interests include point-of-care ultrasound. In addition to English, she speaks Gujarati. 

Dr. Rana earned her medical degree from the Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Inspira Medical Center Vineland.  She is currently completing an Ultrasound fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
