Dr. Ethan Zhao is a hospitalist, or physician who specializes in managing the care of patients within the hospital. Dr. Zhao practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He joined the Division in 2026 and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine. In addition to English, he speaks Mandarin Chinese.

Dr. Zhao earned his medical degree from the Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
